UMC Triathlon

A few weeks back, we at TYE Studios, had the pleasure to be hired by UMC Triathlon Bahamas to photograph their first annual Triathlon in Nassau. With our staff of in-house photographers, we took a short weekend trip to Nassau and came back with some amazing photos of the Adults and children's divisions. The weekend was a washout to say the least, but the morning of the triathlon, we were all lucky to have seen the sunrise between the clouds. A double rainbow and no rain until after the event, the turnout was a success and we have the images to prove them. You can check out some of the photos on our Zenfolio site to see some of the footage of the triathlon. We hope to do it again next year and look forward to an even bigger turnout.

Canon U.S.A. Returns

Once again, we are proud to announce that Canon USA will be coming back to TYE Studios for another RSVP event. The date will be this coming November 10th at 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. We will have social time and discussions on their latest XF cameras and printing solutions. Bring an image to the event and go home with a print.

Jeremiah Jenner

With each season, Instructor Jeremiah Jenner brings his students from his Fine Art Photography class, and introduces them to their first Professional Photo Rental Studio experience. We at TYE Studios, host about 3 of his Broward County Schools' classes each season, and give them a quick tour and explanation of a studio setting with strobes, lightmeter usage, hard and soft light, etc. We welcome Jeremiah with each class and invite other photography classes to contact us, so we too can give you a tour of a studio experience. Canon Imaging

Beginning of summer started off to a great start. Canon Imaging - Healthcare Technologies along with Agency 21 Kincaid, rented our complete studio for 5 days back in late June. Here they built a massive set for their latest Digital Radiography equipment to be photographed with the TYE Studios Production leading the way. Below are BTS images of the shoot.

Sound Proofing

With the high demand for more video services, TYE Studios is transforming their Studio B to be more friendly to our video clients. We have installed some basic acoustic treatment to help with the sound quality and reduce echo and rumble. We have already had The client Subway make use of the studio for their latest commercial, and they had been happy with their end result. Half day rental in studio and spokesperson Jared, were Here last Thursday to be the first to use the new updates to the studio. We hope for more video clients to make use of our studio in the coming weeks and will update you with more changes as the weeks come.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) here at TYE Studios

The studio has recently been getting a swarm of MMA fighters coming through the doors of TYE in the past few months. With in-house photographer, Jerico Supnet, the fighters are doing their stills for their upcoming fights and personal bios, along with some in-house video work.
TYE has had the luxury of being in one of the behind the scenes films called "24hrs With the Champ" - by Genghis Con Films.

Joel DaSilva & The Midnight Howl

We had our second music series held at the studio recently, along with the "WRAP UP PARTY" with the Film Production of "SLEEP - The Film", that was filmed in the nature preserve back in March of this year. The night was fun filled with food, guests, good times and some good ol' "blues" music from the band.
We hope to keep the music series going in the future, but in the meantime, follow us here to see some video footage of the event that evening.

Lilac and Lilies - Accessories

Product, accessories, jewelry, online e-commerce. That's what Client, Lilac and Lilies requested from us this past week. We photographed their latest accessories for their e-commerce website to help push and increase sales and internet traffic. Global Keratin

In the past year, we have had client and neighbor, Global Keratin, use our studio to do their latest campaigns for their new product branding and imagery. Agency models along with artists from Florida and New York participated in the past shoots. They also chose digital technician, Tony Lai, and photographer Julius Gregorio, to shoot their new color line that is entering the hair market in the next few months. Photography for Beginners

We begin another session of our most popular class at TYE Studios. Photography for Beginners by Instructor Marcus King. The class starts this Saturday and is expected to sell out (if not already). "SLEEP" The Film - Trailer 2

One week ago, the team and cast for the film "SLEEP", finished it's last day of production behind TYE Studios in it's nature preserve. With a crew and cast of close to 20 people, the film was a blast to organize and shoot with perfect weather and full moonlight to light the nature paths late in the evenings where most of the shooting was done.

Musicians and Artists Alike - Welcome!!!

Last night, Photographer Michael Hansen, did a photoshoot of some upcoming musicians here at TYE Studios. With a new label around the horizon, they choose TYE and it's house photographer to be their center for still/motion imagery. Along with a full production team of assistants and TYE Studios, Tony Lai as the Digital Technician, the client and art director were able to preview images wirelessly (without thumbnail and full 100% preview) using their IPHONE and IPADS from across the room and throughout the studio. Stay tuned for final edits of the shoot, but in the meantime, enjoy the behind the scenes.

Small Flashes - SOLD OUT...AGAIN

Last weekend, was another busy weekend here at TYE Studios. With location equipment rentals, to in-studio rentals for the weekend, we also had one of our most popular classes held in our Studio A with Instructor/Photographer Marcus King. Small Flashes with Big Results. The half day class reached its maximum occupancy (with backups waiting) weeks before the class date. With today's photographers all wanting to learn a bit more about artificial lighting in a portable package, the class is a "MUST" for photographers of every style. Quantum lighting, Canon Speedlights, Pocketwizard TTL transmitters, softboxes, grids, backdrops, booms, extension arms, superclamps, you name it, the class had it all. With multiple setups for photographers to put together and practice with, the day was eventful and informative with no one wanting to take any breaks including lunch.
We hope to have this classroom favorite available every other month depending on the demands of other photographers local and out of state. Should you require more info on upcoming classes, please visit our website for our class schedule.

"SLEEP" The Casting

Recently had the casting for one of the character roles in the latest film by Director/Producer Keary Cunningham of TYE Studios. His film "SLEEP" The Movie will be in production in the month of March and will be filmed majority at the nature preserve behind TYE Studios. Trailers will be released soon for the movie, but in the meantime, a Kickstarter program has been started for this film and donations can be made on the website along with more details of the film. Sunbounce Fever

California Sunbounce has arrived. With a few pieces of new equipment to add to our list for rental, we at TYE have decided to add California Sunbounce to our arsenal. The 8x8 Scrim and the 4x6 White/Zebra Gold Reflector. With so many natural light photographers shooting outdoors, we have decided to include the California Sunbounce to help with their needs to fill/diffuse light in their projects. We hope to add more items from California Sunbounce in the near future as their products are highly recommended and made with the sturdiest and lightest materials for any calm to windy day. Season for Rentals

With snow storms in the northern states and cold to freezing temperatures throughout the rest of the U.S., we in South Florida have the luxury of beautiful weather this time of the year. Weather is averaging 55 degrees in the early morning/evenings and mid-to-high 70's by afternoon. Blue skies and beautiful outdoor temperatures make South Florida a hot spot for out of state photographers for the next few months. Clients from around the world travel here to photograph their next magazine cover/campaign or ad. We at TYE Studios would like you to know that we offer top of the line equipment/grip rental for large productions and for small to medium jobs. Orchid Photography - Samples

Yesterday's Orchid Photography class created interest for some of the in-house photographers here at TYE Studios. After the class, several of them had a play session with the orchids and took some macro shots of their own. Below are some examples. Photography provided by Julius Gregorio.

Orchid Photography

2 for 1 on this Saturday, January 22. First we offered our "Photography for Beginners" Class in our Learning Center, and in our Studio A, we offered our "Orchid Photography" for Orchid enthusiasts of all kind. We like to thank Donna and Scott Peplin, along with Andrew and Chez Collins, for contributing their beautiful works of art to be photographed at this fun class, full of color, form, and beauty.

Our first series of workshops/classes for 2011 began this morning with our "PHOTOGRAPHY FOR BEGINNERS" class taught by TYE Studios Photographer/Instructor Marcus King. The class is composed of several weeks of in-studio instruction and is usually a favorite amount aspiring and beginning photographers. We offer this particular class every few months and we tend to sell out of seats with each time (10 people max). For those who were unable to sign-up for this series, please continue to check back on our website to see when the next set of "Photography for Beginners" classes begin.
