With less than 2 weeks away, and an RSVP list that continues to grow with each day, the final preparations are being made and I now can post the outline for the Canon/Broncolor event. We look forward to everyone attending both of the days, but personally I believe our headline workshop/demo would have to be on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Canon will be sending their HDSLR Videographer Representative to discuss the technology and future of video in a compact form. As more clients (i.e. weddings, commercials, blogs, etc.) are requesting video for their company/products/services, HDSLR is the smallest form factor to produce Professional High Definition Video at a fraction of the cost. And as a still photographer on location, you will be able to provide both stills and video for your projects/clients without carrying another camera system just for video. And with majority of the latest cameras (and lenses being made for HDSLR video) in today's market having the ability to do 720 or 1080 video, I would find attending the video workshop/demo a highpoint of our weekend to learn and play around with the HD video features in today's HDSLR.

If you have not heard, Demo Days is set and is only a few weeks from today. Don't forget to R.S.V.P. by contacting us at the studio Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. The event is free if you register ahead of time, so tell your friends and put the date on your calendar. If you love photography you won't want to miss this event.
The emails are sent, meetings finalized, and the outline is almost complete. Hopefully by early next week, I will be able to post the two-day course outline for our first ever Demo Day(s) here at TYE Studios. The days of September 24 and 25th, Canon and Broncolor will be demoing their latest equipment for everyone interested in stopping by. We will have a curriculum of activities and shooting scenarios for photographers to test out the equipment. With Canon having their first ever CanonExpo this weekend, we can hope and expect most (if not all) of the newly released lenses, bodies, and accessories that they will be exhibiting at the Expo and Photokina later in the month. We are all excited to see what the future of Canon DSLR technology and Broncolor Lighting and Grip has to offer, and hope to see you all at our event. Just a little update on the Capture Integration Workshop scheduled for September 29, 2010 here at TYE Studios. As of last week, we have a confirmed 35 guests signed up to attend this event. With the latest and greatest photographic toys in today's industry that will be presented and demoed, it is a no-brainer why photographers from every genre and across the state are attending this event. It was just this weekend when I discovered in a forum, that Sales Manager for Capture Integration, Chris Snipes, was discussing the demonstration of the new MamiyaRZ33 with rotatable back. They will be demoing the RZ33 and the DF645 at the workshop via tethered and wirelessly transferring the previews to the Apple IPAD. It is a new workflow for today's clientele, where the client and art director can relax, sit, and watch the entire photo session unfold in a remote room with wifi access. We look forward to the Mamiya demo along with other high-end equipment/software to be presented on our September 29th Workshop.
